Job Advertisement: Circus Educator with a Focus on Aerial Acrobatics

Everyone is welcome to Strängnäs Culture School! Both those who want a fun hobby and those who want to pursue an artistic career in the future. The Culture School is located in central Strängnäs, but we also have activities in Stallarholmen, Mariefred, Fogdö, and Åkers Styckebruk.

The Culture School in Strängnäs municipality introduced circus as a subject back in 2009. The focus is on basic training in acrobatics, aerial acrobatics, and juggling. During HT 2025, the circus has moved to a new location that offers great development opportunities for the operation.

We are now looking for a circus educator with a focus on aerial acrobatics for a permanent position of about 30%.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a circus educator at the Culture School in Strängnäs municipality, you will be responsible for teaching various aerial disciplines and working alongside our other circus educator. Currently, there are three groups that all have lessons on Mondays, but the ambition is to expand.

You will work on Mondays between 3:30 PM and 9:00 PM. Other hours will be planned in dialogue with the manager. In addition, you will participate in meetings, planning, and professional development together with other employees at the Culture School.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Post-secondary education in circus.
• Documented artistic skill in various aerial apparatus.
• Experience teaching children; it is an advantage if you have experience teaching children in aerial acrobatics.
• Basic IT skills.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is also advantageous if you have studied circus didactics at SKH and/or have other higher education in circus.

You are an inspiring educator with the ability to create good meetings with and between students, guardians, and colleagues. You take responsibility for structuring your work, are flexible, and have an open and curious approach, and are inclusive in your working methods.
